So we have these events and all a few times a year and then there've been plenty of user driven events such as the rally for mursaat rights...

it'd be fun to expand on this...

During the big snowball fight at EOTN during Wintersday 2008, comments were made between the two team captains. Micah Fergson's skills were called into question and, I dont know about you, but he was standing by the sidelines by the time I beat the other team the half dozen times I did that quest.

Staci Magicalsen [Rune Trader]: "Oh, not fair! I wanted on my team. Boo!"

Staci is much better looking than Fergson. We *should* have been on her team! Boo, indeed, Fergson!

Staci Magicalsen [Rune Trader]: "Your team doesn't stand a snowball's chance in Balthazar's realm, Fergson!"

So true! Fergson's failure at leadership was concealed only by bringing in the player as a ringer!

Fergson should be dishonorably discharged from the Vanguard and cast out of the Eye of the North for failure to perform his snowbally duty spectacularly! And this is only compounded by him not doing the honorable thing and using Holiday Blues!

The Vanguard could promote a red shirt to named NPC status to replace him!

And then next year, this vicious cycle could repeat!

Of course, it would be an added bonus if ejected NPC's could be found wandering EOTN explorable areas randomly wearing tattered clothes and equipped with the same skill bar Gwen initially has (pre mesmer skills) during her Bonus Mission Pack quest.

Really, did a grope about a quest that occurs once a year worth a thread?

1) Liking a captain based on looks, when the "captain" is a bunch of pixels and nothing more (aside from codes and numbers)

2) The reason why the NPC did little is because, when on the sidelines, THEY'RE OUT! And if you mean he was still on the ice - guess what, they only act when they aggro.

Meh, its a toss up between danika and kormir. Danika does stupid shit often, but at least she heals you. Kormir just narrates while casting party-only shouts when she isn't in any party, and for 2/3rds of the time she's in she doesn't even do anything.
